Dethklok had not had a tour in ten years!? And now they were BACK — wrapped with a new film I helped on, Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar, and a new studio album Dethalbum IV. A few short months after we all wrapped said cinematic journey on Doomstar, I was brought back on for a few weeks to help with a few things including the upcoming tour — extending ‘Wrong Song’ and ‘SOS’ from the film/album for their full duration, as well as a few other needs like comping a new intro featuring CFO. Mostly I was able to just deliver various new or repurposed motion graphics style clips to editor Thom for him to cut to the frenetic style of Dethklok. Together with co-headliner Babymetal, the Babyklok tour set sail for 29 brutal, head-splitting dates of horror and mayhem and having a great time.
