ROLE: 3D Animator
I first made this as a still image in 2018 and later returned to it in 2024 to fully animate it as a test. The skull, tentacles, eyes are all pre-built models however I built new shaders over all assets and rigged the tentacles with a simple bone system, then fiddled with enough voronoi fracturing to get the glass looking shattered. The extra tiny shards on shatter are from an additive particle emitter. For the final step, composite in After Effects.
